I have been making this grouper jig for myself and want to know if any one would be interested in buying some from me. With the eye loop on top they seem to hold the bottom better then similar type jigs. They are rigged with a Gamakatsu circle hooks straight eye 4x strong 8/0 with one on a snap ring and one on 250 lb braid stinger hook loop. Most of the larger fish where brought in on the stinger hook. The jigs weight is about 16 oz's. Powder coated finish to handle the large fish and rock well. They also seem to help keep the bait away from the sharks. Please send a pm if interested. The jig pictured was used to get the two groupers shown, replaced the skirt to a more durable one and with only minimal imperfections on the paint. bait used on the jig range from whole cigar minnows, whole squid, whole ballyhoos, large cut bait.

These are the four colors I can make. The pink one is a 12 oz size and was a test for blending colors. I'm waiting for some stuff to come in the mail to do more purples that have been ordered. But all the stuff should be here tomorrow.

Thank you to those who have ordered. here is some helpful information on how to fish this jig.
1.) drop the jig to the bottom and then leave on the the bottom line tight but on the bottom.
2) squid is picked off the larger hooks easily, ballyhoo and cigar minnows work a bit better, pinfish and live pinfish work best
3.) i crimp on 20 to 30 inches of fluorocarbon #100 line to a barrel swivel to use the snap swivel on the main line.
4.)put the hook thou the bait 2 times this will help keep it it the hooks.

I got three of the jigs from George. They are very well made and good quality. They came with extra braid and detailed instructions. George is stand up guy and I think these are as good as any out there with some improvements.these are 12 oz, and I fish mono a lot because it's easier to untangle on the head boats. My grouper catches have been going down and George has fished the Great Lakes and here and he can provide great insight on how fish behave and can read the weather like a noaa scientist. I'm thinking about adding a split ring to the top of the lure, not necessary but will give me the option to tie cinch down grouper knot. Gonna drop these on some good numbers with some live bait the end of May, if not before. Tempted to do it sooner but don't want to stress the fish while they're closed. Thanks George!
