Right now we are forming our food and beverage committee which can always use help simply due to the sheer size of the undertaking. Last year at MHC over 1500 meals were served!

We always can use help with more boats of course, but the boater volunteer piece will not open for a few more weeks so our most immediate need is on the food and beverage side

Specifically, we need volunteers to seek donations, we have a long list of what is needed

Do y'all reach out to the area middle and high schools and groups like Boy and Girl Scouts? There are various clubs in the schools that focus on community service. This may already happen and I don't know because I haven't participated before but plan to this year with my boat.

Don't forget, the volunteer tab for on-shore help is open! wtg

In a couple of weeks, boater registration will be open. wtg

Shortly there will be a "wish list" posted of items we are still in the process of rounding up...everything from chips, trash bags, paper plates, you name it. Want to help???? There's a "donor" tab on the site. Need any forms to help with a donation(we are a 501 C 3 non-profit), let one us know!

Hope to see ALL of ya'll in MHC in early June!!!!! wtg wtg wtg

I will always answer BOAT...lol.

If you know folks who do not have a boat and want to say "One, Simple, THANKS!" please ask them to sign up and look forward to a lot of smiles.

Yes we have reached out and we do have young folks helping.

We have a contingent of young ones (Young Marine Program I believe) who dress in military fatigues and carry the colors for the National Anthem....lol.. You will not see any one kneeling during that. But you might see folks kneeling during the prays.

A few times when we reached out to high school kids and boy/cub scouts, they were in the middle of exams.

We would welcome their help with their parents permissions.

This event is an exceptional opportunity for young kids to see the women and men who serve this country and say Thank You to them. Heck, many of the military are just out of school them selves.

Alright guys, if you go to the MAD site on the "Forums" page, and click on "General Chat", you will see our grocery list for our MHC event. Like I said earlier, there is a wide variety of things we need to pull this off every year. Anything anyone can do to help will be greatly appreciated, not only by our young Heroes and their families, but by us scroungy volunteers(that includes a lot of ya'll lol ).

Remember, MAD is a 501 (C) (3) non-profit, so any donation is tax deductable.

If you can help, post up on there, or let one of us know on here!

help wtg

Thanks in advance, Stuart
