Wavecast How To:

First, open Wavecast.
http://www.florida-offshore.com/Florida_Offshore_Wave_Forecast.html



So you have two choices, both featuring a drop down box for wave height and wave period. Your 2 choices:
A- Medium Range Outlook (7.5 day)
B- WaveCast Animations

A. Medium Range Outlook (7.5 Day)
1- Select either Wave Height or Wave Period in the drop down box.
- Select Wave Height and hit Load Plot. You will come to this screen:

From here, select the day and time you want to display the wave height plot for. You will then get the selected data as this:


- Select Wave Period and hit Load Plot. You will come to this screen again:

From here, select the day and time you want to display the wave period plot for. You will get the data displayed as this:


B. Wavecast Animations
1 - In the first drop down box, choose either 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, or 7-day animations to display.
2- Then in the last drop down box, choose either Wave Height or Wave Period.

- Your wave heights will appear as animated, moving graphics. You can set the animation speed at the top and also zoom into the graphic:


- Your wave periods will be an animated, moving graphic as well. You can also set the animation speed and zoom into the graphic.
