Its been a couple of weeks so we bared the cold morning start and hit the inlet at 6:30am this morning. Brought Pat & Riley today and headed to Bullshark for some baits. Picked up come cigar minnows, blue runners and greenies... Water temp was 68 degrees... You had to run around and sort through the hornbellies, but the greenies were mixed in...

Had electrical issues again with the livewell. Its the piggy backed connector that plugs into the fuse panel below the switches. All you have to do is touch it and it starts working... Finally got it into a position were it stayed on the rest of the day.

Heres Pats sabiki catch of the day... Black Sea Bass... He hook a couple of these this morning.

We decided to run out to my AJ spot and bend a rod before we search for other kinds of fish...

Then as we arrived at my AJ spot my GPS/Sonar unit quit working. I got it working just long enough to put us on the AJ's and then it died again... Heres Riley fighting his first one...

Its now Pats turn at the AJ's...

Next drift Riley hooks into something big... Then reels up a head of a good size AJ...

Pays hooks into a monster...

You guessed it, a Shark... He was about 6ft long...

Check out this quick Video...

While Pat was fighting his shark, Riley spots a fin jumping off in the distance...then his line starts screaming... FIN ON...

No buddies with this bull...

Riley & I took turns fighting this one to help keep him away from Pats fight with his shark...

Got a couple of shouts out from fellow forum members after we put the fin into the box, but couldn't make out your name on the radio... Let us know who you were...

Had this guy appear shortly after...

Without the GPS/Sonar we decided to run into the condos on the beachs just south of the Power Plant and run the beaches in search of some Cobes... On the way in we stopped at a couple of rips and drifted some liveys... Riley hooks up a Sailfish in short order only to have it spit out the bait. When the bait got back to the boat we found that the hook was drivin back into the bait.

We had a massive Leatherback that came up to the boat with fish under it. I casted a bait on him while he was swimming away but no takers... We caught a couple of these also on this rip...

Pulled in the lines and ran to the beach just in time to see a huge shark skying through the air... Spotted free jumping manta rays in about 40ft straight off the first condo, south of the power plant...

We drifted some liveys around this area but no takers...

Continued south and spotted some dolphins as they were jumping infront of our bow... A lot of life around. Birds and turtles but no cobes...

Called it a day around 3pm and ran back to the SLI... Got another shout out on the radio but they could not hear us. I did a radio check and my radio worked fine... Did meet Bad Habit at the ramp... Nice meeting you...
